Microsoft has released KB5005394, that resolves an issue when printers, scanners, or multifunction devices do not work in Windows 10 1809.
This update is not available through Windows update, but is only available through the Microsoft update catalog. This update is suitable for the following operating systems.
Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC, Windows 10 IoT Core 2019 LTSC, Windows Server 2019.
Before installing the update:
You must install the May 11, 2021 servicing stack update (SSU) (KB5003243) or the latest SSU (KB5003711) before installing the latest cumulative update (LCU). SSUs improve the reliability of the update process to mitigate potential issues while installing the LCU and applying Microsoft security fixes. Addresses an issue with devices that do not comply with section 3.2.1 of the RFC 4556 specification. Noncompliant printers, scanners, and multifunction devices might not work when you use smart card authentication (PIV). This issue occurs after you install the July 13, 2021 update on domain controllers (DC) in your environment. For more information, see KB5005408.
