Revert back to Windows 10 Context Menu in Windows 11

You like it or you don’t. If you are one of the users thinking the new context menu is no improvement in Windows 11, you can revert to the old Windows 10 context menu in Windows 11 in just a few small steps.

Open Windows Terminal with Windows PowerShell or Command Prompt as an Administrator

  • Copy and paste the following command into Windows Terminal and press enter:
  • reg add “HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\InprocServer32” /f /ve

When you did everything as described above, you will see a message The operation was completed successfully. Restart the system, and you are ready to go.

If for whatever reason you like to go back to the original settings, so you can use the original Windows 11 context menu, follow the next steps.
